Add Banter to a WhatsApp group
Banter connects to existing WhatsApp groups as a regular member. It is an independent product and is not endorsed by or affiliated with WhatsApp or Meta.
1. Create a workspace
Start on the Free plan or choose Starter/Pro before signup. Banter preserves that plan choice through email confirmation and onboarding, then asks you to make any paid checkout decision deliberately from billing.
2. Add the Banter number
Save Banter's number from the dashboard and add it to the WhatsApp group. If the group only allows admins to add people, ask an admin to add the number.
3. Send the claim code in the group
The dashboard generates a one-time code such as !claim AB12CD34. Send that exact message in the group, not in a direct chat. Codes expire and can be cancelled or regenerated from the dashboard.
4. Confirm the first reply
Mention Banter or reply to one of its messages. The dashboard treats first reply activation as complete only after the transport confirms delivery.
