Memory guide
Group memory that stays editable
Banter does not promise to remember everything forever. It uses recent messages for context, rolling group summaries, uploaded knowledge and saved memories for facts such as birthdays, preferences, recurring jokes and decisions.
Saved memories are visible in the dashboard. Workspace owners can edit, supersede or delete them, and group settings can mute memory behavior for a room. Disconnecting a group stops new collection for that group.
Media descriptions and transcripts can become part of memory when the feature is enabled and within the plan cap. File bytes expire by plan retention; descriptions can remain as text memory.
